Have you ever wondered why chicken wings are so popular in
America? Well, this question has crossed my mind many of times and I
finally realized why over the weekend when we went to my sister-in-law's
house for dinner and she walked me through the entire process of making
your very own chicken wings. This is when I realized that they are not
only economical but they are also delicious and very easy to make.
My sister-in-law started the process of creating these wonderful chicken wings by simply setting up a small work station that consisted of a large bowl for the chicken, another bowl that had an egg and milk mixture and then a plastic bag filled with flour. The first thing to remember when setting up your workstation is that you will need to season all of your ingredients; this includes the chicken itself as well as the egg and milk mixture and the dry flour. Seasoning everything will ensure that you come out with the most delicious and flavorful chicken wings.
After all of your ingredients are seasoned you can simply work down your workstation as follows, take your seasoned chicken and dip it into the egg and milk mixture, next you will take the wing and place it in to the large plastic bag filled with your seasoned flour. The egg and milk mixture will ensure that the flour sticks to the skin of the chicken evenly. After you feel that your chicken wing is fully covered with the seasoned flour you will then place it into your preheated vegetable oil. She was only cooking three wings at a time, but you could certainly cook more or less at once depending on the size of your fryer.
When finishing the frying process, she simply placed the wings on a large plate which was lined with paper towels to absorb the excessive oil. Please keep in mind that you will need to make sure that your wings are fully cooked before removing them from the oil.
